Coronavirus Update

Church Family,

Our church will stand in compliance with our government leaders who have asked that no establishment exceeds a group of 50 people. The White House Task Force has also recommended today that for the next 15 days, group gatherings be limited to no more than 10 people.

Starting this Sunday, we will be streaming a sermon at 10am. We welcome you to join us from the confines of your living room, grab some coffee, and we can worship together in over 100 different places! I will be doing a sermon from my office and you will be able to view it on several platforms. We will update you later this week on where exactly to tune in to watch the sermon.

These restrictions will be in effect for as long as the CDC and the governor of Washington recommend it. Also, our church doors will be closed to the following groups:

  • Youth Group
  • Celebrate Recovery
  • Men’s Breakfast
  • Women’s Worship Night
  • Board Meeting

Face to face counseling will be limited. Most sessions will be over FaceTime, Skype, or over the phone. Still feel free to reach out. I’m not going anywhere.

There may be more that I’m missing, but we will get that information out to you.

Also, I know that this may affect our long standing tradition of Easter service. If this restriction is still in place for that date, we will not be having an Easter service.

What an amazing opportunity to extend our reach! I am so grateful that we live in a time of technology where the Gospel can still go out to others. Let’s choose humanity over selfishness. Comfort and peace over fear and panic. Let’s think of others over self. Jesus is our comfort and guidance throughout all this.

Continue praying for the many medical personnel that we have within our church and surrounding communities. Those that go out on our behalf. Let’s also continue praying the prayer held in Psalm 91. This is a moment where God can speak to us like never before. Stay home and love on your families. Connect with others that you haven’t been in contact with. Talk with God more. Use this time to ask God what He’s trying to tell us.

We will let you know as soon as these restrictions change and look forward to being together again. In the meantime, fire up the televisions and computers and let’s have church at home. I’ll be online this Sunday at 10 am.
